How to Generate a CSR for SSL Certificate
Follow these steps to generate a CSR for your SSL certificate.
Please see the instructions for the type of server you are using here.
A CSR is a 'Certificate Signing Request' and is used to create an SSL certificate. It contains a block of encrypted text that is generated on the server that the SSL Certificate will be used on. This contains information that will be included in your certificate such as your company name, common name, city and country. It also contains the public key matching the private key on the hosting server which needs to be part of the issued SSL certificate.
