Install WordPress via Installatron Panel
WordPress is the fastest way to create and manage a website for your domain name. It's easy-to-use and customisable for business or personal websites, blogs, ecommerce stores, and other digital content.
Follow this quick guide on installing WordPress via the Installatron Panel.
Installing WordPress
- Open Installatron through your Freeparking Dashboard.
- Ensure that you’re in the Applications Browser tab.
- Scroll down to Content Management section, then click WordPress.
- Click +install this application.
- On the Install page, enter the necessary details you need for your website. You may refer to the following recommendations or you may leave them in their default settings.
Location
This will show the Domain where you want WordPress installed. You may leave the Directory blank.
For example, in the screenshot below, we are trying to install WordPress for www.smallbatteryball.com.
Version
See screenshot below for our recommended settings.
- For Automatic Update, we recommend you choose Upgrade to new minor versions and security releases to help keep your site safe.
- For Plugins and Themes, we recommend manual upgrades because plugin and theme updates can disrupt your site's function.
- For Automatic Update Backup, we recommend you create automatic backups to save your site from update errors.
Settings
See screenshot below for our recommended settings.
TIP: Make sure to note the Administrative Username and Password. You will be using these logins to access the administrator dashboard later on.
Advanced
- Select Automatically managed advanced settings if you’re a beginner.
- Otherwise, choose Let me manage these settings if you’re a WordPress expert.
- Scroll down, click +Install and wait for the installation in progress.
Once the installation is complete, you will find WordPress and its access links under the My Applications tab.
- Click your domain name to open your newly created WordPress page.
- Click the wp-admin link to open the WordPress administrator dashboard. Use the username and password you have set earlier.
- Click wordpress.org/support to view the WordPress help page.
