Affiliate Programme FAQs
Joining The Programme
What is the Freeparking Affiliate Programme?
The Freeparking Affiliate Programme pays website owners commission for every customer referred from the Affiliate's website that results in a successful domain name, email or web hosting purchase.
What type of websites may be part of the Freeparking Affiliate Programme?
Most sites which are currently with Freeparking are welcome to join the Affiliate Programme as long as they are not adult sites, warez, ROM or emulator sites, and sites which promote or engage in illegal activity, hateful or racist speech. Freeparking maintains the sole right to choose its Affiliate members and to cancel Affiliate memberships at its discretion.
My website is not built yet, can I still join?
Your website must be up and running in order to join the Freeparking Affiliate Programme, since it needs to be reviewed by us and approved before you may become a member. We ask that you request membership in the Affiliate Programme when you have finished building your site.
What does it cost to join?
There is no cost to join Freeparking's Affiliate Programme.
How long does it take to be approved?
Freeparking reviews your Affiliate application and will check your website for approval. Allow up to 5 business days for this process. Freeparking reserves the right to cancel the membership if a site is not in compliance with the Freeparking programme requirements.
Are websites outside of New Zealand eligible to become a Affiliate?
Yes, Freeparking welcomes websites outside of New Zealand to apply for our Programme as long as they have a website with Freeparking and comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
What's the difference between a Reseller and an Affiliate?
A Reseller purchases services at a discounted rate from the retailer and then on-sells them to the end user, with the billing relationship being between the reseller and the end user. The Affiliate simply refers business and receives a percentage of the sale price as commission, with the billing relationship being between the retailer and the end user. The reseller provides all services for their customers as they would their own business: ordering process, delivery and customer service. An Affiliate's involvement, on the other hand, ends once the visitor leaves their site
What products and services are included in the Affiliate Programme?
Currently Freeparking offers commissions on domain names, email, shared hosting packages, CreateASite, Virtual Private Servers (VPS) and Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS). For more information see the Payment Schedule at http://freeparking.co.nz/affiliate-programme/payment-schedule.

How do I create links to Freeparking?
Upon completion of your registration, you will be sent an acceptance email from Freeparking. You can then log into the My Account section on Freeparking's website and under the Affiliate tab click on 'Affiliate Banners', which will allow you generate the appropriate HTML code to copy and insert into your website.
Where should I place the banners on my site?
You should place banners where they are easy for your visitors to find. This will increase the chance of click-throughs to our site, which will ultimately result in higher commissions for you!
Can I change the links provided?
No. All Freeparking intellectual property must not be altered without permission. Intellectual property includes scripting, images, media and any other items supplied by Freeparking's Affiliate Programme.
Registration Tracking and Payment
Are there a minimum number of sales I need to refer?
No! There is no minimum number of sales required to become or remain an Affiliate. Obviously, the more sales generated through your site, the more commission you get paid!
How much do I get paid in commission?
Freeparking will pay commission rates as listed in the payment schedule located at http://freeparking.co.nz/affiliate-programme/payment-schedule.
How often do commissions get paid?
Freeparking pays commissions by direct credit in NZD to your bank account on a monthly basis, as long as the total commission balance in your Affiliate account is greater than $200. Freeparking will credit payments by the 10th of the month for payment of Affiliate commissions from the previous month and earlier (if the balance was less than $200 in a previous month). An email will be sent to you to advise a payment has been made.
Alternatively you can use your Affiliate commission to offset the cost of your own services. The Affiliate commission accumulated will show as a credit balance on your Freeparking account and will be automatically applied to reduce the amount of any invoices raised.
How can I monitor my commissions on a daily basis?
Affiliates can monitor their account by logging in with their username and password to the My Account section on the Freeparking website. Commissions/Tracking are updated in real time as the online purchases take place.
Who do I contact for additional assistance?
